I learned to shop wisely for excellent quality "used" high label clothing. The town I live in isnt very large..but we do have several thrift shops and one second hand baby clothing store. For over a year we lived on this meager ration, but my baby was wearing "Baby B'Gosh" and lots of other labels..They were in great shape, hardly worn looking, and repairs were made proficiently by myself and DH. baby clothing store: Okay, but do put some thought into setting up a changing "station" of some sort. It's a pain to get halfway through a poopy diaper and realize you don't have the wipes within arm's reach. Also, where and how will you store baby's clothing and clean diapers? Do you need to buy a dresser or similar item for the nursery? A hamper or basket for dirty laundry? baby clothing store: For really special occasions - do you get a catalog called The Wooden Soldier? They have beautiful (but expensive) stuff with lots of matching brother and sister outfits and even a few matching mom outfits. Their store is in North Conway, New Hampshire, and I want to go up there one of these days. My favorite place to shop, however, remains "Wee Wear" a great used baby clothing store up the street. Most of my favorite outfits have come from there. baby clothing store: The wildest thing that ever happened in my sixteenth months dating Serena was the Halloween party my second year. Serena and Jean invited me to their small Halloween party if I would agree to wear the costume they picked. It turned out to be a sailor suit which they had somehow found in my size at a used baby clothing store.
