baby stroller: I was thinking of buying one of these baby Strollers when my Grandchildren were small and I called the manufacturer and asked them which model they recommended. When they heard I was a Inline Skater ( even though very experienced) , they told me flat out , that this was not an appropriate use for their baby stroller due to the possibility of a serious injury to the passenger in the stroller, if the skater fell. They flat out told me that the baby Stroller was designed for walkers and joggers only. They even described in detail that events that would happen when the skater fell or tripped as if they had already had this happen with one of their Strollers. For this reason, I didn't buy one at the time.

baby stroller: Someone wrote to FASST and basically stated the same thing, in this latest issue and I agree with this person 100%. They stated that if you fall using this baby Stroller ( and we all know that we are not immune from that) , your first response is to grab for something, which would be the bar on the back of the baby The skater goes down, and the Stroller tips very rapidly toward the skater ( kind of like a catapult) . I actually saw this happen one day a couple of years ago in Miami, with someone that had a small dog in their baby Stroller and the dog flew out of the Stroller hitting the pavement fairly hard. Luckily the dog "bounced" and seemed OK put was a bit annoyed, but the skater was really shaken and was surprised at the result of her fall. I wondered at that time, what would have been the result of a baby or small child in the Stroller Instead of an adult.

baby stroller: Stroller. I can top this, yesterday I was riding home from work. I was on a nice stretch of the path that had excellent visibility for at least a mile. As I approached a man with his baby stroller, he immediatly decided to get off the path and cross in front of me. He only had a mile to see me coming and yet he still turned. I slammed on the breaks and almost went over the handle bars. Unfortunately I would have hit the stroller instead of the idiot, so I did the right thing.
