As it so happens, I just bought one for my son about a month ago. It has a high backrest and is probably the perfect booster seat to solve your problem. This booster seat also solved *my* problem which was that the cars that we own do not have a shoulder/lap belt in the backseat. All of the booster seats that I looked at required the use of a shoulder/lap belt for children that weigh more than 40 pounds or are taller than 40 inches. My son only weighs 34 pounds, but is 39 inches tall already. The Century Breverra booster seat has a 5-point harness that can be used with children until they are 45 inches tall (and 45 pounds, I think). After that, a shoulder/lap belt is needed. Hopefully, by the time my son is 45 inches tall, we will have cars with shoulder/lap belts in the backseat. booster seat: The only drawback of this booster seat, for me anyway, is that I have trouble adjusting the straps for the 5-point harness. If they are adjusted perfect for my son when he is wearing a coat, then they are too loose for those days when he is not wearing a coat. It isn't very easy (not impossible, just not easy) to keep re-adjusting the straps. I also find that it is a little difficult to thread the seatbelt through the back of the booster seat. But, that becomes a pain only if you need to keep taking the booster seat in and out of the car. booster seat: But what we will do when we have two? We are thinking of putting the baby in the middle of the backseat and getting a booster seat Savannah. But I don't know very much about booster seats. Can we use the booster seat with the bad seatbelts? My understanding is that a booster seat merely makes the child tall enough to be safe in a normal seat belt. Thus, if the seatbelt is safe for adults, then it should be safe for a child in a booster seat. Is this right?
