 I strongly recommend the Century Breverra booster seat. We just moved our 4yo daughter into it from her toddler seat, and she really likes it. Since she is on the small size, too, (weighing in at 32 pounds at her 4-year check-up), I really didn't like the idea of putting her in one of the standard booster seats with only the car's seat belt to hold her in. The Breverra is more like an oversized toddler seat, with shoulder straps to be used with smaller children, but it can also be used with just the car's seat belts for larger children. It also has a built-in neck rest which extends above the back of our back seat. Since our car does not have a neck rest in the middle of the back seat, this was a definite plus, even though it will probably be a couple of years before Alexandra is tall enough to need it. It is rated for children 30-60 pounds. car booster seat: But what we will do when we have two? It's a full-sized seat, with a built-in headrest (good for taller kids whose head might go over the back of the seat in a normal booster seat), and it can be used in two different ways. For smaller kids, up to around 45 pounds, I think, you can use it like a regular carseat, with the seat itself strapped in by the car's seatbelt, and the child strapped into the seat with straps. For larger kids (up to 60 pounds or so), you can use it without the straps and just use the car's seatbelt to hold both the child and the carseat.
