 According to FAR, I only have two choices: seat belt him into a regular seat or put him into an approved child restraint. I have been unable to locate the latter certified for aircraft above 40 lbs or 43 inches. Poor kid won't be able to see a thing down on a seat. Heck, my wife has to sit on two cushions to see out. The regs apply only during ground ops, T/O, and landing, but Mommy applies enroute as well. What I can do is belt him down on a seat during the required times, then move him into a booster seat (with harness etc.) for enroute. A pain, plus he loses a lot of the fun. child booster seat: Hi, I'm looking to buy a booster seat for my kid, we have a Dodge 19994 minivan and a 2000 Honda Odyssey. Excellent condition - like new child booster seat: I need to find a child booster seat for a child 30-80 lbs,that fits well (safely) into a 99 Forester. We tried a Century and the belt did not hold it securely. If you have found one that works easily and fits well into your Forester, PLEASE let me know-
