I used it to pump 1-2 times a day and I found it very effective, light and convenient. I could pump pretty much wherever I was. However, the motor burned out at about 6 months and I had to buy another one to get through our nursing year (the second one didn't burn out). My MIL said that a Medela rep told her that motor burnouts were common with the mini-electric. That being said, our total outlay was less than for a Pump In Style. The mini-electric only pumps just one breast at a time, so keep that in consideration if time is a concern for you. (This should be less of a concern later in the nursing stages as your breasts become more efficient and nursing/pumping requires less time.) electric breast pump: Many mothers on this newsgroup have purchased electric breatpumps.
